Having conducted the Audit, GDMI begins the on-page optimization process with keyword research of the client’s industry and competitors. Then, through a dialog with a client, a keyword universe is identified for the targeted keywords for which a client wishes to achieve visibility on the search engines. . Benchmark reporting is essential to identify the rankings and overall traffic volume currently established for the website and so that change may be measured and monitored throughout the initiative.

Depending on the client’s internal development staff and resources, GDMI may directly perform the on-page optimization or may consult with the client’s developers as necessary. Alternatively, the client may also elect to internally optimize the website based on the Audit findings.

Website changes may be as minor as the reengineering of keywords within meta data and the addition of a sitemap to the addition of pages of keyword content, elimination of any prohibitive technology such as frames or the redevelopment of a content management system to foster a more search engine friendly database.
